Everything you need to know before your first day!

Congratulations, and welcome to DGS! Before you begin your first day of work, there are (5) mandatory tasks you must complete immediately. Click the steps below to view each task. After all tasks are successfully completed, there will be a 2-4 week clearance period for your Employee Badge & Training.

PRE-HIRE PORTAL

Congratulations, and welcome to DGS! Before you begin your first day of work, there are (5) mandatory tasks you must complete immediately. Click the steps below to view each task. After all tasks are successfully completed, there will be a 2-4 week clearance period for your Employee Badge & Training.

1. Drug Test

(Complete within 48 hours)

  • After signing your conditional agreement, you will be issued a drug testing form from your hiring manager. You must test at the designated facility within 48 hours
  • Leaving the facility before testing can result in automatic termination with ineligible rehire

2. Complete Onboarding Tasks

  • Check your email for a notification from DGS Human Resources, requesting completion of your Onboarding Tasks
  • If you don’t see the email, please log on to the DGS job board and enter same username/password used when applying for the job
  • Click the Tasks tab and complete the steps
  •  See Step 4 for i9 Instructions which are embedded in your Tasks
  • When complete, it must read 17 out of 17 completed. If not, please click on due dates in left column

3. Background Check

Orange Tree’s Candidate Connect gives you an opportunity to monitor and track the progress of your background check. Receive notifications and alerts in real-time

4. New I-9 Form Completion

I9 instructions are listed in your Onboarding Tasks. Alternatively, you can go directly to www.newi9.com to complete (Enter Employer ID: 14218)

401(k) SAVINGS AND RETIREMENT

  • Up to 3% matched by DGS after 1 year
  • All DGS Part-time and Full-time employees are eligible to participate in the DGS 401(k) Retirement program. Employees can enroll in the program upon receipt of their first paycheck.

Please Note
  • Benefits are effective on the first day of the month following the 30-day waiting period
    (Example: if you start work on 1/15, you have until 2/15 to enroll; however, your coverage would begin on 3/1)
  • If your spouse is eligible for Medical coverage through his/her employer, they cannot be covered under the DGS plan. Affidavit must be signed during enrollment
  • Smoker rates apply to medical coverage. Affidavit must be signed during enrollment
